Contrary to popular belief you do not have all the answers, I know it is hard to believe but sometimes you are just like the rest of us and you do make mistakes. That is why sometimes it may be advisable to listen when people are giving you advice and not just dismiss it out of hand straight away.

For one example we could look at the writing of articles or more generally the art of writing. It is a good idea to read what others have to say on this topic. Newsletters are a good source of information on such things and that is mainly because the people that write these newsletters have a good insight into how you should set out your writing. Some of their tips can be helpful to you and may stop you from making unnecessary mistakes.

This can only be good for you and of course help you to get a head start on your rivals.

One such newsletter that is worth mentioning is called Early to Rise. This informative newsletter has some good advice on not only business opportunities but on copywriting and marketing as well as other great topics.

In the last six months I have had some great information handed to me via this newsletter. It has helped to become a better person and helped my writing to come on in leaps and bonds.

As well as the tips that this newsletter gives me it also sort of inspires me as well in my writing endeavors.

I can honestly say that it is hard to find something on the internet that has had such a profound affect on my writing as this newsletter seems to have done. You just have a sixth sense when it comes to finding something special that you can connect too and in my case it is the “Early to Rise” newsletter.

Many of us at one stage or another have thought about writing down our personal history. You do not have to some sort of professional to be able to do this. It is something that can be done by starting to jot down some of your memories or past experiences.

Through the course of our lives there are many changes and although you may not think they are that interesting it may be very interesting for others to read.

It is a possibility that in the future your very own grandchildren may read about your experiences and find them very interesting indeed.

It is the same principal as if you were reading some of the stories that your ancestors went through during their lifetime. Many aspects of their lives may coincide with many of your own. But there will be some things that happened that will get you thinking, jus as something you do will get your grandchildren thinking.

It does not have to an exciting adventurous story that you write. Just start off with your earliest memories and write down a true account of what you remember. You can choose to be as detailed or as brief as you want with your accounts.

Everybody has some recollections of their time spent at school. Some have good memories and some have bad memories but all of these can be very interesting subjects to read about.

People often like to read bout your interest and hobbies. Your likes and dislikes is another topic of interest. Your everyday life and what types of food you like to eat can also be interesting to some people.

Writing can be a lonely task. Whether you are a professional or an amateur, writing generally requires you to sit alone in a room, living halfway inside your head, and halfway on the paper before you. You don’t have any feedback, and inspiration, anything at all except what is inside of your head, and in the environment around you. Sure, you can show your work to someone later, but that’s not writing, its editing. The actual creative process is an isolating experience.

However new web 2.0 technologies are giving writers new tools to help expand their creativity and improve their craft, through interactive writing projects. The idea of multi author stories is not a new one. Aside from authors collaborating on books, the idea of interactive stories has been around for a long time. Originally they were stories written in tandem, with first one person adding a paragraph, then another expanding with a second paragraph, and so on.

These were sometimes open to communities, but the more open they were, the more prone they were to spam and poor writing. Eventually most of these limited active threads to a few members, or a moderated community.

New technologies however are allowing writers to expand these ideas exponentially. With places like twitter, facebook, rolepages, and others, you can now take on character roles and write stories across a variety of media, including several written forms of communication. This can involve forums, chat rooms, profiles, walls, and bulletins, as well as videos, podcasts and pictures.

The general term for this sort of writing is role-play; a word which derives to some extent from the old dungeons and dragons board games that were popular in the eighties. However rather than a self indulgent chance to act out fantasy stories with your friends, this new style of roleplay is actually a form of fiction, which allows writers to finally break out of their own heads, and collaborate with others in a meaningful, and multi dimensional manner.

Advances in communication technologies have opened the door to a whole host of innovative new forms of creativity. Concepts such as social networking, twittering, texting, and even chat are giving us new ways to talk to one another. In so doing, they are also giving us new ways to tell stories to one another, or to create stories with others from around the world.

The first innovation is the delivery method. With applications such as twitter, or texting, or even to some extent Facebook and social network status updates, the nature of communication has been fundamentally altered. The world wide web is a glut of words, and so these services have forced us to edit ourselves, fashioning our long and windy thoughts into succinct packets of information, which we then transmit into the world.

When it comes to telling a story, trying to fit all of your concepts into short discrete chunks of verbiage can be difficult. However, like writing a haiku, there is a certain beauty to it that elevates your spirit, as well as your writing ability. It also gives you a whole new voice with which to weave the tapestry of your tale.

However the impact of social networking technology on storytelling is far more dramatic. Just look at the major social networking players. Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, they are all set up so that people can tell one another the story of their lives. However it is a seamless storytelling, not merely of words, but also of pictures, preferences, quizzes, connections, and brief momentary thoughts, all collaborating to describe a very personal tale.
