Most people would be thrilled to have the chance to take an unplanned vacation – to just take off on a spur-of-the-moment getaway. Before now, that was almost unthinkable due to the sky-high prices of last-minute plane tickets. But fortunately, it’s now possible to book a vacation on short notice and still get a terrific deal. Here are some tips to keep in mind when you’re buying tickets for a low-cost, last-minute vacation:

1. The Internet is your friend when it comes to finding sources that list inexpensive vacations which can be booked late. For example, you can find a number of good and reputable discount travel sites online that give great packages for tours of Europe, Caribbean getaways, Hawaiian trips, and much more. These sites specialize in putting together affordable vacation packages for people traveling on short notice. When you’re searching for deals online, you will find many different types of vacation offers that are available and how much they cost. These offers are an ideal choice for anyone who wants to leave on a trip now, and can’t afford to spend a lot of money. It’s possible to save up to 30% or more when you book your vacation on these sites rather than trying to make all the travel arrangements yourself.

2)The low travel season is the perfect time to book your vacation on short notice if you’re looking to save money. The same vacation package will often be 10 percent cheaper during the low travel season than it would if you purchased it when everybody is vacationing. Have a hankering to visit Paris, London, Spain, Athens, Barcelona, or Frankfurt? You can with the excellent European packages that are available. While winter is the best time to take an inexpensive European tour, traveling to Mexico or Hawaii during the summer months is the best time to save money.

With summer in full swing, many children in the US are now getting their first experience with summer camps. While some children may be concerned about missing home and hanging out with new friends, summer camp provides indelible positive memories for all Americans.

Reflecting on memories of our own, we elected to ask 30 kids from area schools in the New York and New Jersey region what their favorite summer camp activities are. We then contrasted these results to a very unscientific poll done in our office of a dozen staff, and were amazed to find out that the results were nearly identical! This was a huge surprise for us. Although we did not have interactive media and cell phones when we went to summer camp, the same activities are still as beloved today as they were 25 years ago.

#1: Archery. Yes, the idea of an under-13 child firing a salvo of arrows out in the wilderness where other children may conjure up memories of Lord of the Flies. However, with the safety measures and training that counselors get in child management, archery is an absolutely safe summer camp activity. And kids love it. It makes them feel like nobility back in medieval England. Or Ted Nugent.

#2: Canoeing. This one sort of goes directly against kid logic. It’s absolute exertion for your body, plus the children have to be team players–two things that are anathema to any young boy or girl. However, perhaps it’s peer pressure that draws kids into feeling that this is a fun activity. Plus the chance to splash your fellow campers with cold salvos of freezing water and pretend it is an accident (or not) that makes canoeing alluring.

The importance of caravan insurance can be judged from this fact that it is a great investment opportunity. It is important to safeguard it, for it is a necessary component of our lifestyle. The caravan insurance covers almost all damages to your caravan and all its components in case of theft, accident, brawl and bad weather conditions. Moreover, caravans have different kinds of insurance. The reason is that different kinds of policies cover different issues of your caravan.

A basic insurance covers only the cost involved in repairing the damaged parts. In case a caravan is not fit for accommodation, a general insurance policy will not cover the emergency accommodation expenses. Therefore such clause should be added and paid for by the policy holder. Having a medical cover clause in the caravan insurance policy is helpful since it will reimburse all expenses involved in the medical treatment in case of an accident.

We can have an overall of the factors that a basic caravan policy can cover: 1) It covers all damages incurred during transit or loading or unloading goods into caravan. : 2) It covers all damages incurred in repairing permanent fixtures that are stabilizer, battery, gas bottles, refrigerators, generators and others. : 3) If loss occurs due to another person’s property, it takes up full financial liability. 4) If something has been completely damaged and is beyond repair, it can provide another of the same caravan worth.

Following are the aspects which are not covered by a caravan insurance policy: 1). Damage caused due to overloading of the caravan. 2). Damage caused in the process of modifying the structure of the caravan or unnecessary installing accessories. 3). Accident caused due to drivers negligence or failing to follow the traffic rules.

Why holiday on the Gold Coast? It’s a question I am asked quite often despite our perfect weather, beautiful beaches and laid back way of life. If you are thinking about visiting us here, I have outlined some of the major highlights of our year below, to help you plan your next trip and to make sure you get the most out of your time here.

This calendar is in no way the final word on the matter. The Gold Coast has so many different attractions that I recommend doing some exploring besides checking out these recommendations.

January: The Magic Millions Carnival – A must event for those who love everything horse racing. The Magic Millions carnival in January brings Australian horse racing to the Gold Coast, combining the annual yearling sales with race meets, parties and dinners, all culminating in the Magic Millions race day, where over 3 million dollars in prize money is up for grabs.

February: Without any specific big event in February, it is often the best time to visit. With school holidays coming to an end, the peak tourist period starting to die, you will be left with more space, more time and a more relaxing experience. Perfect for the holiday maker just wanting to wind down on a beach somewhere.

March: Every March, the surfing world turns their collective attention to the Gold Coast, as the first event on the annual World Championship Tour is fought out on our waves. Given how much Australian surfers love the Gold Coast as a surfing destination generally, March really becomes a special time for surfers local and visiting, who find themselves visiting here.

Its not always that easy to understand caravan insurance, if you ever had to claim you may find yourself out of pocket if you do not take the right type of cover, or even enough cover. A caravan is a big investment and should be thought of that way when you come to insure or renew your caravan insurance. At the time of purchase, be very clear on your needs, what cover you need and how much you want to pay.

Your caravan insurance needs depend on what you do with your caravan, do you take it touring, or perhaps rent it out on site? When choosing caravan insurance you have the choice between third party fire and theft, and fully comprehensive insurance. Cheapest and best are often two entirely different things, so don’t buy insurance based on price alone, base it on coverage.

As static caravans are unlived in at least some part of the year, they should be protected against break in and vandalism. You will want to install an alarm system, smoke alarms, and locks on the doors of static caravans to help reduce your premiums. If you have a static caravan, you should ensure that it is at a secure site (for instance, walled with floodlighting), both to reduce costs, and risk of claims.

If your caravan is a touring caravan and you like to take it overseas to Europe, avoid any nasty surprises by making sure that you are covered to do so. Although some insurance policies do not, most will cover your touring caravan in Europe for a set number of days. Europe is a great (and popular) destination for caravanners with touring caravans make sure you do it properly.

Touring caravan owners should know what the elements are that make up any insurance policy they take out. The elements of a policy are Contents, Continental use, Damage and Loss, general exclusions, Excess, and Liability to the public. It is my intention to offer an insight into the policies different parts in this article.

Damage and Loss – this covers the caravan, normally up to its full value, for damage to or loss of the caravan. If you have a caravan normally up to 5 years old you can get new for old cover, which will provide you with a new caravan. Older caravans require Market Value cover, which means that if it needs replacing, it will be to the going value of your old caravan.

Contents and personal effects is often an optional extra, and is generally quite limited in coverage, so check what is covered. Normally excluded are money and credit cards, valuables, audio/video devices, bikes, phones, documents and computers. Forcible entry is also required to be able to make a claim, and also policies differ in whether they cover theft from awnings, trailer and toilet tents.

In the case of loss or injury to the public from your use of the caravan, liability to the public is a feature of caravan policies. As long as the caravan is not hired or used for business purposes, this will normally extend to people the caravan has been leant to. Coverage is generally between 1 million and 2 million, and sometimes it won’t include costs, but sometimes will.

Continental use coverage is required if you intend to travel to mainland Europe, and does not always come as standard. Roadside assistance (to a maximum amount) and repatriation of the caravan (to its insured value) is included in some policies. Some countries are normally excluded from the cover, mainly the former Soviet Block countries (e.g. Poland, Albania, Bulgaria… etc).

Singleton Beach is a 50-yard ribbon of pure white sand that runs straight as an arrow along the East side of Hilton Head South Carolina. The Island is famously shaped like a tennis shoe and Singleton Beach lies at about the arch of the foot. Our group arrived on the beach via the half mile boardwalk that spans the intermittent lake between Resort and Ocean. It was a lovely Spring day and the temperature was moderated by the cool breeze wafting in off the Atlantic.

Our approach to the ocean over the mile boardwalk was well-appointed. First to greet the weary hiker was the Island’s only ocean-view cabana, stocked with a variety of refreshing drink offerings. Next on the right was the “world’s most expensive volleyball court,” according to our guide. This lay just behind the dune that blocked our view of the ocean. The Robert Trent Jones golf course lay about 25 yards further to the right, tempting us with its beautiful par-5, 10th hole, overlooking the ocean.

Suddenly, there was the Atlantic. Toiling restlessly as far as the eye could see. Endless, fathomless, omnipotent. Only the crystal strand contained her and the power of another, who once decreed, “here shall your proud waves stop.” “Who needs Hawaii,” I reflected, “when we’ve got Hilton Head?”

A Strategic Vacation Destination

Second only to Hawaii in popularity as a vacation destination, Hilton Head South Carolina lies just South of the mid-point on the Atlantic Coast. The popular ocean view rentals command about $850 per week and up during the vacation season. In the winter prices drop closer to $850 a month, just right for Snow Birds who journey South for the winter.

Opera Glasses are designed to be small but they can be of a big use. They are designed to help the user to follow the Opera closer without bothering other people that are there to see the opera. There are many different kind of Opera glasses and they range from a variety of prices. They can cost anywhere from thirty dollars, all the way up to hundreds of dollars.

The prices on opera glasses can be a lot of different prices. They can cost anywhere from thirty dollars to hundreds of dollars. The price depends on what kind you get, where you get them from and what they are made out of. You can get them made out of Mother of Pearl and this can be costly but is worth it because they are beautiful.

Opera glasses look so much like binoculars but are very much smaller than binoculars. They also will focus really well inside and Binoculars will usually only focus good when you are outside. There should not be any reason why you can not find opera glasses that you like because they come in so many different designs.

You can purchase opera glasses quite easily at different stores, but particularly on-line. It is a great idea to simply rent some at the opera before you buy them to make sure that you like them. You may not want to buy any glasses if you do not regularly go to the opera then buying opera glasses are probably not for you because then they will just sit around gathering dust.

Renting or having opera glasses can be very helpful because this allows people to see the stage from their seat. Usually it is very cheap to rent opera glasses at a performance. There are some people who find that they do not need opera glasses at all. This all depends on how well they can see or if their seat is close to the stage.

If you are planning a trip to Ireland, then renting a car is the best way to see the beautiful country of Ireland. If you are not from Ireland, but you would like to see the country, then you had better plan your Ireland car hire long before you make your plane or bus reservations.

Renting a car can sometimes be a hassle. You start searching on the net for car rental agencies and you are bombarded with a million choices.

How in the world do you know what Ireland car rental agency is good to choose? Relax, since it is not as difficult as it may seem.

You must first determine if you want a one way car hire or a round trip deal. It is much easier to find round trip car rentals, but if you only need a car for say, picking up at the airport in Dublin, that service is certainly available.

The next thing to do is that you need to begin finding the perfect Ireland car hire company. You can ask your friends or family what car rental companies they usually use, since word of mouth is one of the best ways to be sure you are going to do business with a reliable car rental company.

During these tough economic times, many smaller car hire services are trying so hard to compete with the big hitters in the car rental industry. So you have a pretty good chance of getting a grea deal looking past the big rental car companies.

When you have found an Ireland car hire service that gives a great deal, make sure to check the legitimacy of the car rental company before giving any deposit to them. Check for a legitimate telephone number as well as their office address and make sure that you read the fine print before giving them your personal information such as credit card information.
