Why is Wedding Entertainment Important?

A wedding or civil partnership is one of the most special days in two people’s lives and a day of celebration shared with family and friends.

The wedding entertainment you choose helps to create and maintain the air of celebration, turning the day into a really memorable event. And no entertainment can beat magic for interest, mystery, comedy and interaction. A magician at a wedding or civil partnership has many practical uses as well, such as adding structure to the day, breaking the ice between guests and helping to fill any unexpected delays.

Having a Magician at your Wedding

Most people, young and old, enjoy magic and an experienced wedding magician will be able to perform for all ages.

Remember, many people have only ever seen magic performed on television. Seeing ‘live’ magic is completely different and will be a memorable part of your wedding day.

Close-Up Magic for Weddings

Close-up magic and illusion is the most versatile and flexible form of magical entertainment. A close-up magician doesn’t require any special equipment or facilities such as power or a public address system and will usually carry all his or her props in their pockets.

Also, it only takes a few minutes for a professional magician to get ready before they start entertaining. The close-up magician is one of the easiest things to organise, just tell him the date and time, and leave him to it!

A close-up wedding entertainer can mingle with guests, either seated at tables or standing in small groups, and spend a few minutes with each group entertaining them with amazing magic. It is a really effective ice-breaker – helping people who have never met before loosen up and giving them something to talk about.

We all do it at one point or another. We like taking photos of nature (for example), so we take more and more photos of nature, and tend over look other areas of photography. Then one day, someone calls up and says, “Hey, we were talking the other day about you doing photography. I think I have some extra work for you, are you interested?”

“Sure!” You say enthusiastically, then almost as an after thought you ask, “What are we shooting?”

The person you are talking with has decided to go for the World Speed Record in a wheel chair. Now, I’ve taken photos of people and I’ve taken photos at more traditional sporting events, like Football, Basketball, and Soccer; but how do you gear up for something you have NEVER shot before? The first photo tip to remember is to always have business cards with you. Because even though he said “the other day” you realize it has been almost two years since you had this discussion, but you did give him a business card and obviously he kept it.

Back to the problem at hand, this photo shoot is prior to the actual event. The photos he wants you to take are to be used as promotion shots. The customer suggests a local park for the photo shoot location. The first photo obstacle is the location itself, yes there are some nice points but, this park has office building on one side and a huge school on the other side. Always be aware of the background in your photo shoot.

Many of the people that are playing online games are turning their attention to The World of Warcraft. This is one of the most challenging games out there at the moment. It certainly makes you use your brain as well as teaching you how to be a lot more patient.

It feels as though the game lasts forever. It will certainly take some effort on your part if you wish to complete it. This can take up a lot of your spare time. Some people are known to take months or even more than a year to complete their objectives in the game, dedicating hours per day to the cause.

This game goes up to an amazing sixty levels and for you to get anywhere near that sort of level it is going to take a lot of brain power. Despite the notion that video games do nothing for intelligence, that belief can be quelled with the existence of this game, as anyone who plays it acknowledges the fact that it takes some smarts to penetrate the deepest levels of the game.

The lower levels of the game seem to be quite easy as you would expect. This is where you learn and get used to all the different strategies of the game. You will need all these strategies and more in order for you to advance. But slowly as you rise up through the levels the game gets more and more complicated.

The higher levels that you get up to the more brain power you will need. This is where you have to find new strategies to not only eat your enemies but find new ways to escape these levels and advance to the next one.

You have probably heard about websites like MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube and you may even be aware of social bookmark sites like Delicious and Digg, but is your church using these social media as part of its online marketing strategy? What exactly is social media and how can your church utilize social media as part of your online marketing strategy?

The Winds of Change:
Over the past several years the web has undergone a transformation. It used to be that the “website” was the top item on the Internet, but over the past several years that has been changing. Now things like blogs, video sharing websites, social networking, and social bookmarking are the hot items. This is known in many circles as “Web 2.0″ signifying that the change of how people use the Internet has been so dramatic, it’s like a whole new version of the web.

There are now companies, organizations, and churches that do not even have a website, but rather their online presence is a network of these various social media sites:

  • They have a MySpace and/or Facebook page for information.
  • They upload sermon videos to YouTube or GodTube.
  • Articles are posted in a blog.
  • Pictures of the latest pot-luck dinner are uploaded onto picture sharing sites like Flickr.

What’s The Big Deal?
The main idea behind Web 2.0 is the sharing and discussing of ideas and information with others. It’s a way for people to interact online and a way to distribute information to the masses. Both the opportunity for interaction and the chance to have their voices heard have made social media extremely popular, especially with the younger generation. For the first time in history anyone can break a story, create a funny video that millions will watch, become known as an expert their field, or shoot breathe-taking photos and show them to people from around the world in a virtual gallery. Social media has given unprecedented access to people and ideas.
