Whenever I roll a new Horde character I follow the quest path of a Horde leveling guide, because questing is not a bad way to level up, especially if you play solo. However, many players prefer to level their toons in various instances of the game, depending on their level. Therefore, I’m going to point out here, three instances to level up if you play Horde, on Vanilla WoW, Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.

1. The best low level instance to boost your Horde character is Ragefire Chasm. Since it’s placed in the heart of Orgrimmar it’s easy to find a booster or join other boosting groups. However before going in, you might want to have at least a few of the following quests: “Hidden Enemies”, “Returning the Lost Satchel” or “Slaying the Beast”.

2. Hellfire Ramparts. This dungeon is one of the 3 instances at the Hellfire Citadel in Hellfire Peninsula. It’s pretty close to Thrallmar, the biggest Horde settlement in this area. There are not many quests inside, but there are loads of orcs which will bring you nice XP and Thrallmar reputation. The final boss drops the “Ominous Letter” which starts “Dark Tidings”.

3. Last but not least, a good instance to level up as you enter Northrend, is The Nexus. This instance is dominated by dragonkin mobs (which can be skinned, for Icy Dragonscales and Arctic Fur), 67-71 levels. Many mobs inside and also 5 bosses that will provide you with nice blue loot. As this Horde leveling guide has instructed me, here are a few quests inside The Nexus that one might want to have if leveling here: “Have They No Shame?”, “Igasho the Elder” or “Prisoner of War”.

Not only instance dungeons are a good place to level your character. Lately, battlegrounds have become a good way to raise a toon, so you can alternate your questing or instance leveling with battlegrounds. PvP is also fun and you get nice XP, especially if your faction wins. This Horde leveling guide has taught me that Alterac Valley is a great BG to take part to, and you’ll make tons of XP especially if it’s an AV week-end.

I hope that my article has helped any player to improve their leveling. However, even if instances make a good method to level up in WoW, questing still remains the number one method to raise a toon. This Horde leveling guide has also provided me with a super optimized quest path, designed for solo players and giving details for all the quests in the game.
